This is a new page where our Ministers and Local Preachers can share thoughts and information.
18th June - Preachers' Meeting - Caldmore - 7.30 for 7.45 pm
I had been giving some thought to this for a few months and as it seems over half of our Local Preachers are now using the internet it would be a good time to have a presence on the circuit website.
Essentially I saw this as another way we could communicate to other local preachers and the wider readership of the website about local preachers news, training course and really anything we feel may be helpful to colleagues.
Do you have something to contribute? Do you know about something happening in a neighbouring circuit that you might wish to share with others?

We have received an invitation from the Telford Circuit to join them for their June Local Preachers meeting when they will be having a special speaker who will be speaking on the topic of Paul's letters. The meeting is at Madeley Methodist Church on
Wednesday 3rd June at 7.30 p.m. and the speaker will be Rev Neil Richardson (former President of Conference, head of Wesley ministerial training college Bristol, chairman of Leeds District, senior research scholar Queen's college Birmingham).
If you want to do some research you may want to obtain a copy of Rev Richardson's book
'Paul for Today' which is available for around £10 from Amazon.
Don’t forget the next local preachers meeting will be on Thursday 18th June at Caldmore Methodist Church. This will be quite a busy meeting as we will be having our annual communion service and will be joined by our worship leaders. Our special speaker at this meeting will be Mr. Keith Rothery former National Advocate of LWPT (Leaders of Worship and Preachers Trust).
Talking about LWPT check out their revised website which has some very useful resources for Local Preachers on it. www.LWPT.org.uk will take you there and I am sure you will find something useful.

Mrs. Marcianne Uwimana has been given a note to preach which was approved by Circuit Meeting on Thursday 19th March please pray for her as she embarks on this journey.
Pulpit Swap
We are considering a swap of pulpits with the Willenhall, Brownhills Circuit sometime in
July (not the 5th as that’s Conference Sunday) so if you would be willing to take part please let Ian Southall know as soon as you can.
Connexional Assesment
Submissions for the next round of connexional assessments for local preachers have to be in at the end of March (Friday 27th) and we are hoping Andy Haynes will be submitting his last section of Faith and Worship. Please pray for Andy and for his successful completion of Faith and Worship.
